I know this is a long video, but please watch it before reading on...
When I first started watching this video, I didn't get too upset- thinking that it wasn't that big of a deal, what harm could it really do. But by the very end, where it shows the doll saying it over and over again, I was in tears. The Holy Spirit laid in my heart: "This is a big deal! It could really do harm! This could be the only message some children hear!" If we, as Christians, want our children to know the one and only Truth, this should outrage us, break our hearts, bother us tremendously. I am not saying that we should boycott Fisher Price because they won't recall the doll, Disney World because they have a "gay/lesbian" day, Applebees because... (The list could go on and on.) I am saying that, like the preacher mentioned, we are under spiritual attack. It is our job to proclaim the truth- not by sitting at the computer just shaking our heads and saying a little prayer, but by going out into our community and sharing the real truth, proclaiming Who the light really is. I am so tired of seeing and hearing things like this and doing nothing. I am so tired of leaving it up to "more qualified" Christians to witness. I am so tired of being a luke-warm Christian. Are you?
I am sharing this video; I am going to find a way to contact Fisher Price; and I am going to tell everyone I know Who the light really is!
1 John 1:5- "This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: GOD IS LIGHT; in Him there is no darkness at all."
1 John 1:7- "But if we walk in the light, AS HE IS IN THE LIGHT, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin."
Psalm 27:1- "THE LORD IS MY LIGHT and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?"
Psalm 36:9- "For with You is the fountain of life; IN YOUR LIGHT WE SEE LIGHT."
Micah 7:8- "...the LORD will be my light."
1 John 1:5- "This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: GOD IS LIGHT; in Him there is no darkness at all."

Wow! That's scary! Thanks for encouraging all of us to not be luke warm. I think I heard someone say that there has never been a time before where there are so many who claim to be Christians. There has also never been a time where Christians are doing so little.
Ella has that doll! I never could understand what it was saying though until I got a forwarded email about what it actually says. Now it is plain as day. These dolls are still on the shelves in the stores too! I've seen them at Toys R Us and Target. We just keep ours turned off. It is Ella's favorite baby doll and she had it awhile before we heard about this. I wasn't sure how to take her baby away. This is so scary! Thanks for sharing with us!
It begins with a foot in the door. It will only get worse. We will have to stand and in love say no more. The whole generation before us did little. Abortion was passed, our kids can't pray in school and the ten commandments have been taken down from almost every public office. We have compromised our moral standards and have no ABOSOLUTE truth. Everyone does what feels right to them. God is more concerned about our families Holiness not our happiness. I'll get off my soap box now. We shouldn't be surprised by our enemies attacks, but we should be prepared to stand against them.
Glad you're back online and blogging girl!
Holy cow!! So scary!
wow! who knew. I guess I should be glad that my boys don't play with dolls.
Thanks for the info! I, too, was so sad about this, knowing many children will own this doll. I even remember Christmas shopping for the girls in Target and seeing a big shelf of them (and I had to get away from them b/c everytime I moved they started blabbing) but I never stopped to really listen to what they said! I agree- we must get out of our comfort zones and speak up for Christ. He is truly the Light of the world!
Thanks for sharing your heart, Amy.
Glad you're back in computer land!
