The Word on Wednesday Continued...

Isaiah 43:10 "'You are my witnesses,' declares the LORD, 'and my servants whom I have chosen'..."

Acts 1:8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Deuteronomy 32:3 "I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, praise the greatness of our God!"

1 Chronicles 16:23 "Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day."

1 John 5:10 "Anyone who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in his heart."

Sometimes I feel like I do not have a significant testimony to give. I wasn't raised in an abusive, horrible home; I haven't overcome any diseases or illnesses; I've never been an alcoholic or on drugs; I've never been a murderer, thief, or felon; I don't have a grand, amazing story to tell.

However, I once was lost, but now I'm found; I was blind, but now I see; I was just a wretch, but now I'm saved- I do have a grand, amazing story to tell! My savior died on an old rugged cross because He loved me so much. I was a sinner who was terribly lost, and the Lord God Almighty cleansed my sins with His precious blood. That is a story worth proclaiming to the World! No matter where you have been, where you come from, what your story is- great or small, the Lord has done a grand, amazing work in your life and it is worth sharing. The Lord wants us to share His good news to the world. He gave you a testimony all of your own- like no one else's. So, be proud of who you are, where you came from and of your personal testimony! Don't hesitate to share what He has done for you. If you are a human, a Christian, you have a testimony; you are a miracle.

Here's my cardboard testimony... What's yours?

Oh, wow! This was all very powerful. I'm like you, Amy, I was saved as a little girl. Never had any horrible experiences in my life or got in too much trouble but I was hell-bound before I was saved just like the "bad person" who found the Lord. Love your cardboard testimony.

Amy - I love that you did your own cardboard testimony! Brandon is looking at a way we can do something like it at church. I think it will be great if we can end our re-builders series with something like it.

Amy...another great post!! I love your cardboard testimony too! I don't have any really bad life experiences either but I know that life sure is easier (maybe easier isn't the right word but maybe more valuable, stronger??) when you have HIM in it!!

Amy,
I know so many people that have amazing testimonies that have led them to Christ including myself. With all do respect towards them and their testimonies, Admiration is an understatement I have for you. You didn't come to Christ because of some horrific story, you came to Christ because you simply loved HIM, nothing more nothing less. Wow! how that must please him.

Isn't it cool how God can use blogs to show His love toward us. I love your transparency.

Thank you for this Amy! I feel the same as you...that I don't really have a testimony b/c nothing "bad" has happened to me. But I've come to realize that THAT'S my testimony!

I also love how open and real you are! We all have our weaknesses, and the carboard testimony is such a neat way to see them in a new light.
