The Word on Wednesday...

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, because I am fearfully and wonderfully made..." Psalm 139:13-14

I am SUCH a people watcher. When Zack and I go to the mall, he'll try to talk to me and I'm like, "Uh-hu, yeah, mmh, um-hm." Finally, he'll ask if I'm even listening to him. I just have to tell him that I'm so sorry, but I cannot concentrate with all the people around! I have often thought how amazing it is that there are soooo many people in the world and no two people are just alike. God is just so incredible.

I have clung to this verse many times when I have struggled with self-esteem/confidence issues. God loves me (and you) so much that he chose every hair follicle, bone structure, feature, etc. on me. He "knit" me together, created me, formed me just the way that He wanted me to be. When I look at what I call "flaws" "imperfections" "blemishes" I think of this verse, and remember that I am flawless, perfect and wonderful in His eyes and that's all that matters!

Of course you are flawless! You have such a cute, tiny little figure and a big heart! You know, Amy, I have I John 3:10 in our bathroom so that I can see it every morning, and it says, "God is greater than our heart and knows all things." Whenever I feel down, I think of that verse and realize that God not only knows the fears and desires of my heart, but is big enough to handle them. Isn't is incredible to comprehend that the creator of the galaxy and beyond chose every feature of our being? : ) Incredible!

God fashioned us according to His image, but we tend to focus on our flaws. Thanks for the reminder that He created us just the way He wanted!

I am definitely a people watcher too--so much so that I sometimes don't realize that I know the people I'm watching! :)

I agree with you. I think as females we really tend to focus on our flaws (I know I have definite confidence issues). I wish I could see myself as God sees me, but I know someday I will! Oh, and I agree with Jessica--you're adorable with the cutest little figure. That's nothing to get down about! :)

I love that scripture and you are very gifted in how you translated it to all of us! I have in my signature line 'blessed beyond belief' because that is how I feel. I love that even thru 'blog land' we have been able to find a Christian connection. I truly am blessed to have come across all of you ladies!

Hey Amy,

about the backround, it was my 1st and I wasn't 100% sure I could do it, but it turned out well--if you ever want/need any more help with your blog, I'd be happy to help!
